Construction Of Little Rock, Arkansas, Replica Birney Trolleys

Gomaco Trolley Company began working on three replica Birney trolleys in early 2001 for the Central Arkansas Transit Authority in Little Rock, Arkansas. The trolley frames appearing in some of the photos are Melbourne trolleys which were reconditioned for Memphis, Tennessee, and the single-truck replica Birney trolley (which resembles a smaller version of Little Rock's replica Birney trolleys) appearing in several photos is destined for Fresno, California. By August 2003, all three trolleys, #408, #409, and #410, had been completed and delivered.
